Our Wedding Services:
We will create a Wedding package to suit you and your guests, the locations
of the ceremony, the photographs and the wedding breakfast and evening
reception. Below are the standard entertainers which we can provide during your
day, however if you want something that little bit special then just email us or
pick up the phone and we'll see what we can do.
- A Solo Highland Piper
- Clarsach / Harpists for the ceremony and/or to entertain during
photographs
- Violinists or Traditional Fiddlers
- Classical Guitarists
- A String Trio
- A Gaelic Singer
- Toastmasters
Your piper is normally there for the following duties
- to play you and your guests into the Church or
marriage venue
- they can pay the bride up the aisle if required
- If you want the piper to be in the official photographs they can do this.
- If you wanted him/her to play for short bursts while the guests are
waiting for your return from photographs then this can be done.
- Normally, if using a piper his last duty would be to play the newlyweds to
the top table after all of the other guests were seated and to take a salute
and play him/herself out.
- If you need a master of ceremonies then we can provide one for you. the
Toastmaster and the Piper will combine to keep your day running smoothly.
Our normal Evening Entertainment would consist of one or a mix of the
following entertainers.
- Jazz Trio or Jazz Quartet - this can be
traditional or Contemporary or a mix of both, but will certainly get the feet
tapping or the dancing going.
- Ceilidh Band - to play traditional Scottish
music [normally a mix of Accordions, Fiddle, Guitar] - these are usually
either a 3 piece or 4 piece band. Most bands will have a 'caller' if you're
guests are unsure of the dances.
- Discothèques - a disco to play which ever period of music you and your
guests require. The disco could also play some Ceilidh music for you if you
wanted to do a 'strip the willow' or 'dashing white sergeant'.
- Function bands - we have at our disposal some of the best function bands
in Scotland to suit any event.
Foot note.... At Scottish Highland Entertainments we are proud to present a
mix of both traditional and modern entertainment and a full event management
service for you. It's your day - let us take some of the organising off of your
shoulders to let you concentrate on other matters. We will be glad to arrange a
package for you and liaise with the hotel and if required provide a
representative to ensure the smooth running of your big day.
