Q:
What is a Whisky Tasting?

A:
A whisky tasting can take a few forms. Many clients ask for a whisky tasting which consists of guests coming up to a table on which we have a variety of Scottish Malt Whiskies - we would recommend using 4 bottles per 50 guests which would be distinctive Malts from the various Whisky regions of Scotland to show the diversity of the taste, colour and nose of Whisky’s. All of the Malts would be ones which are readily available for your visitors to purchase on their travels throughout Scotland. One of our Whisky experts will be on hand to pour the drams and provide answers to any questions.

Another type of event of the Whisky tasting quiz where before the tasting our expert provides a ten minute talk on whisky, how it is made and the regional differences which affect its taste. During this talk he provides the guests with the answers to some questions on the whiskies on the table which will be asked later (after they have had the chance to sample them!). We can provide prizes for the quiz if required.

For small tastings we can provide glasses (around about 30 to 40 people), for larger groups we would request that the caterers provide glasses.
