Great Highland Bagpipers

The Great Highland Bagpipe is the Instrument most associated with Scotland and
we have decades of experience to draw upon.

Highland Dancers
IMAGE 1-2:
Highland Dancers will perform with the Highland Bagpiper or an
Accordionist after the main course has been cleared and prior to Dessert being
served. The performance would be about 8/10 minutes duration and include the
"Sword Dance" and the "Highland Fling." We normally recommend using three or
more dancers for the most visual effect - it also lets them have a breather if
they share the dancing as our Pipers have been known to keep the tempo going!
The dances can be spilt up so that they are between courses. For a Cabaret we
can supply a team of six or more dancers to dance more contemporary Scottish
dances like the 'Shindig'.

Prestige Venues

We have provided entertainment for most of the prestigious venues in Scotland.

in South Queensferry.

The Scottish Small Pipes
IMAGE 1-5:
The Scottish Small Pipes are a version of the Scottish Bagpipe which are belows
blown as opposed to mouth blown. They have a very melodic sound and can be used
as background music for drinks receptions (they are by no means as loud as the
Highland Bagpipe).

A Pipe Band Beating Retreat
IMAGE 1-6:
The Band will form into a circle or some other suitable formation allowing
Guests to approach and be a part of the finale. There is a further option in
that prior to marching out of the Hall at the end of their performance, the Drum
Major can approach the VIP/main player in the Group, salute, and ask permission
for the Band to "march off." This option can be confirmed on the night. Some
Guests create a BIG finale by doubling the size of the Band which, at risk of
stating the obvious, doubles the price. For events where there is a stage the
option is also there for a 'mini band' of approximately 9 to 10 members to play
on stage at an interval during the meal or to open the meal itself. Pipe Bands
are usually very flexible, use them how you wish.
