The Haggis Ceremony

If you are going to have a small portion of that most Traditional of Scottish
dishes, A Haggis, as a second starter or intermediate course, the option exists
to have the full Haggis Ceremony to totally bewilder your Guests and add a
hilarious dimension to your Dinner. The Haggis, carried by the Chef, will be led
into Dinner by the Highland Piper followed by a top "Burns" Speaker who will
"Address" the Haggis in the words of Scotland's national Bard, Robert Burns.
This would be a performance as opposed to recitation and lasts no more than 5/8
minutes. The top "Burns" Speaker could also be used as a Master of Ceremonies
and might also start your meal by giving a traditional Scottish "Grace."

Classical Music

We can provide Classical entertainers from e.g. a solo Harpist (or Clarsach -
Small Scottish or Celtic Harp) to larger groups.

Karen Hunter
IMAGE 3-3:
Karen Hunter plays Scottish Fiddle in the same manner as Vanessa Mae but with a
Scottish flavour. She is hugely popular with Business groups and at Conference
events where her ten minute spots usually last twenty and twenty minute spots
usually last 30 due to encores. This is tremendous after-dinner entertainment
which will maintain the Scottish theme of the evening and will have even the
purists taping their feet. Something which Karen likes to do is to wander round
the tables, playing as she goes, interacting with the guests. Karen has
performed at the MTV Awards extravaganza in Edinburgh which probably says more
about her standard than anything we may add.

Wedding Entertainment

Come to us for your wedding entertainment! We are able to offer competitive
packages and do all the paper work for you (except the payment!) All our
entertainers are contracted to appear on time at the right location and on the
right date. Why deal with more and more different parties when you can arrange
it all through us an let us do the arranging? We can arrange pipers, traditional
Scottish music like clarsach or fiddle, Classical, Jazz, Ceilidh and Function
bands or even magicians to keep your guests amused.

Jazz

Any size of band to play as Traditional Trios, Quartets and Quintets, "Big Band"
sound of the 40s & 50s with a 16 piece Orchestra, Dixieland Trios, Quartets, or
an Eight Piece Marching Band, Swing. Also
Jazz Soloists: Saxophone,
Clarinet, Flute, Piano etc etc
(Can be traditional or Contemporary or a mix of both).

Magicians, Caricaturists and other entertainers

We can organise Close Up Magicians who can
work the tables or provide a short performance, Fire Eaters and Circus Acts (best for outdoors work!), Stilt Walkers
and Caricature Artists who will
work the tables presenting victims with their own Caricature.
